That's my gut instinct. In fact.. I think I may use my kawai dedicated midi sequencer to copy the midi files off that disk, and onto another one and then chuck the disc.

The dedicated sequencer is not in any danger by a pc virus. However I'm sure that disk was infected as it was used to transfer midi files that were downloaded off the internet back and forth from the 'friends' pc to both of their sequencers. I also know that this person has no virus protection, and for that matter barely knows how to use a pc.. Frankly I'm surprised they were able to find midi files ont he internet, AND download them...

I think I may just back up the files via sequencer and simply trash the disk... just no telling exactly what is on it... could be a virus.. could be some spyware.. hard to say. I wasn't getting any dialog boxes from norton.. so....???
