That's possible. My ISP's email service has an option to suppress/block images. It's not apples to apples but it does illustrate that the technique/software is known and available.

On the other hand, he says he can see the avatars and images in other people's posts. And, if I understand it correctly, he could see his image when it was embedded in the message (the one he deleted), but not when it is shown as a link (clickable thumbnail).

Very strange. If I've been following this correctly, only links (including clickable thumbnails) in his own messages are blocked/suppressed, but he can see those in other messages just fine. There's got to be a clue to the solution in there somewhere.

Oscer, if you insert the image as a link instead of embedded as an inline image, can you see the link in the message on your browser? Can you see and open this " link " or the link to the attached file below?

Tom, What did you do to that cat? lol It sounds like you understand the situation perfectly. The one I deleted showed a rather large picture under the text I could see it. I can open your link and other's pictures. the only problem,that I'm aware of at this point, is if I post a pic the way Timber showed me ,I can't see the thumbnail, but you got it right it's only in my own posts. I can see my avatar and other avatars.

Well, all of a sudden when I loged on today all the posts that I put pics in have thumbnails that I can actually see and open. I didn't do anything to fix the problem, I don't know why it works but it works, at leadt for now.

Just a wild guess but it could have been an internal problem with your account and one of the site owners fixed it for you.

Sure was, I had a cat who would jump on the lid of our 50 gal aquarium to get a drink. One day my wife was cleaning the aquarium and not realizing the lid was off, he jumped right in, pretty funny site.
As to the thumbnail thing I think it was my firewall, I turned it off at the beggining of this exersize but I think my wife has been turning it back on ,at any rate when its on it blocks my thumbnails. Thanks again for all your help fellas, oscer
