Compact telehandler

Thanks! We're clearing 20 acres. After I stump it, I will need to harrow it before planting. Have a line on a pull harrrow, and was thinking that would be just the ticket. Has the same type of hitch., can run extended hydraulic lines back down the boom to raise and lower the wheels, but didn't know if the bobcat would be able to pull it. It's 75hp, and heavy enough, but I haven't pulled anything like that before. I appreciate your input.

A project from last June. Saw this dead broken branch up in the tree:

Grappled it:

Found another one on the ground:

Added it to the one in the grapple:

Came across two more on the ground:

Added them to the ones in the grapple:

Put them on the small existing burn pile and lit it:

Here is something using the V417 that didn't get posted in this thread.

Using the Push/Pull Pole. Had removed the batteries from the Polaris Electric Vehicle and needed to move it out to where I could use the water hose to wash it out:

P7020003.JPG

Pulled it out:

Pushed it over to the water hydrant:

Question: What did I do after the right front tire ran over a piece of rebar driven in the ground, but sticking out about three inches?

Answer: Took the tire to the tire shop to get it repaired.

Then put it back on:

Thankfully it didn’t puncture the sidewall!

I like the tool caddy and the tire roller!

   / Compact telehandler #267
I looked around for something to put the lugnuts in and saw the dustpan. It became the tool caddy cause it was handy :D.

The wheel and tire weigh 140 pounds, the tire lifter is very necessary

   / Compact telehandler #268
I never got around to making or purchasing a tire lifter/roller when I could have really used one.

We always used a forklift for removing and installing the 38”&42” duals.

I will have to read my manual more closely I guess but it don't seem to me the mower would run fast enough. I don't understand creep mode, sounds like it would be to slow for most mowing.

I just got my new v417 and so far have used it only with a grapple and loved it! The dealer I talked to didn't know much about the new model coming but said they will have a Doosan engine instead of Kabota. Main reason I wanted one now. I'm guessing they will add a power Bobtach, offer a higher capacity pump add a way to use a hand throttle for mowing, snow blowing & etc. and maybe a camera option.

I'm hoping you will keep this thread going by posting any new uses you come up with and thanks for the rapid response to my question.

By the way I traded a nearly new S750 skid loader in on this V417 and have used it more in one day than I used the skid in all the time I had it!

Glad to see you are still at it! I would like to pester you with a couple more questions if you don't mind? I am thinking of getting a mower for my v417 and was wondering how you settled on the Tree Terminator you purchased, and you're still happy with it or if you would rather have one without the wheel out front?

Did you get a mower for your V417?

Leveling and filling part of a terrace.

This old aerial view shows the terraces that were put in to prevent erosion back when this was farm land. The blue arrow shows the area that I am working on north of the new horse barn :

Water would accumulate here after a rain:

Since I was shaving the top of the terrace off here by 8 inches, I was able to lower the post even more.
Before, note the upward angle of the rails:

After, the rails are almost level:

A tree puller job from earlier this year.

A small cedar next to the fence:

Clamped onto the trunk:

Pulled it:

Shook the dirt from the roots:

Reached over the fence to get one:

Got it but the camera batteries died, didn't get any more pictures :(.

Pulled several more, here is where I put them. This picture was taken three months later.

Not that I ever got around to buying a grapple, but I will probably miss my telehandler.
