Price Check Compact and Sub-Comp. Price Increase?

I have heard rumors flying around about Kubota pricing and increases. I am not too familiar with Kubota since I don't really live in compact country, but I heard they have not raised prices in the last couple of years as steel has gone up. Can this be true? I had also heard that because of this, Kubota was losing money. In reading other threads in here that does not appear to be true. The last rumor I heard was that a big price increase was coming. Can anyone disredit or affirm any of this? I just want to know correct information as well as try and stop the spread of misinformation. Thanks for your help.

Actually, it is the direct opposite of the rumor that you've heard, they've lowered prices even though the price of steel, rubber, and plastics are going through the roof.

Their stock is publicy traded in the US. They posted a record income in the last quater. Now their margins have got to be lower because of the raw material costs. Almost every company has had several price increases where we have only seen minor adjustments from Kubota.

December 1st Kubota announced a price increase to go into effect January 1, 2006. It is minor a couple of hundered dollars here and there with mainly implements seeing a single digit increase. They are also going up on thier assembly charges for tractors they assemble at the factor. So there is a minor increase comming.
