Boy its sure getting hard to be brand loyal around my place these days. I now have Red (MF), and Blue (Ford), and Green (Yard Machines). and now the latest addition Yellow (JD Commercial) Whew! My wife says the backyard looks like a tractor lot. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Could be worse, right? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Its a JD 210C. The clock just turned 3000 hrs. It was a county machine and well maintained, and since those county employees aren't ever in a hurry to do things, it probably had a cushy life. (hope no county road guys heard that /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif)

Now alls I gotta do is learn how to run a 2 stick hoe /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I've been a Case operator all my life and avoided JD's, so its gonna be like learning from scratch again, well almost. But what the heck, it will be fun.

I have an orange Kubota and a green JD LX6 mower. The mower was used and has some rust on the deck. So, I went by the JD place and got some JD green paint.

Yesterday I had the orange/green pair sitting in front of my cabin when my brother-in-law came by. He owns a farm next to my place and he is partial to JD. He see's the paint sitting there and asks what it is. I tell him is JD green paint and I'm going to paint it. Now, he knows I'm a real tractor newbie and his eyes get real big and he looks at me like I'm crazy and I immediately know what he's thinking. No, not the the tractor! I tell him. Typical JD guy figures I'm going to paint my new Kubota JD green! We got a laugh out of that one.

The mower is freshly painted and looks like new. Orange and Green don't match but they work together just fine.
