Farmtrac 535 W/ 5245 front end loader(turf tires), MFG 2006
Got a quick question. Should the clutch engage at the top of the pedal swing (just before removing foot from pedal) or should it release a couple inches after beginning to release the pedal. (closer to full pedal depression)? Reason I ask, it is often difficult for me to gradually release the clutch without it grabbing at the top of the pedal swing and snapping my neck and spinning a tire.

Never really payed attention , but I would say in the last quarter, mine has a 2stage

How can I tell if mine is a 2 Stage clutch and if it is, how do I use (operate) it.

clutch part way in PTO still spins, but engine disengaged. Clutch all the way in both stop

Thanks Clint S, While using the 535 yesterday I noticed the operation of the two stage clutch. Down about 1/4 of the way the clutch disengages to change gears, and all the way down releases the PTO as well. I found my shifting was much smoother if I only pushed clutch pedal 1/4 down.
