Dirt Moving Clearing a dirt pile in the cold

What consistent temperature would I need to be more successful? I'd like to give it another try but obviously the temperature needs to be consistently higher so the dirt becomes much softer.

If you could re-orient the pile to get direct warm spring sunshine, that too would help greatly. lol

How about another (fresh) load that's not stuck? (I imagine it would be solid at the vendors location ??)

The next time your neighbor has dirt delivered during winter, he should get it moved to the right spot before it gets moist due to weather and before it freezes solid!
