CK25 Injector Pump Question

A few weeks ago I started a thread about the saga of troubleshooting my CK25 that would not start and finally found that the fuel rack in the injector pump was stuck in place. So today I decided to pull the pump and see if it could be repaired. I found two of the #@&*$#( plastic gears stripped. I read another thread where someone was able to turn the gears 180 and use the good side. So my question is, how do I time the gears to the fuel rack. I see there are three tick marks on the fuel rack. I made the assumption that the long dimension of the oblong slot in the gear should point to the tick mark on the fuel rack. There seems to be a small tick mark on the gear at the end of the slot so I lined up the two marks when I installed the gear. Does anyone know if this is the correct way to time the fuel rack gears?

Contact your dealer.

The fuel shut-off solinoid is what caused the fuel injector rack to fail. It would be best to talk to your dealer about what happened to your fuel injector rack, and ask for the recommended solution.
