Hey guys,
First off, thanks for all the insight you've shared over the years. Since my old man passed, I've been learning mechanics as a necessity to keep farming and this forum has been a godsend. Unfortunately, I am still an amateur mechanic, and I really screwed up today.
I've had a runaway motor on my CK25 and out of commissioned it months ago. After researching, I figured it was the fuel injection pump. I took it the pump out today and confirmed it was the gears/pinions with broken teeth. I was able to find the pinions for sale online, or "sleeves" as they're listed, and had them on hand to replace the broken parts. Everything was going well on the rebuild until I tried to put the last plunger in. I tried to force it like an idiot and broke it. I'm incredibly upset with myself, feel like I just made a $1,500 mistake. What's more is I didn't realize the plungers were slotted differently for each cylinder and I don't know what order they go in. Does anyone know the part number for these plungers, if they're even available? I can't believe I successfully diagnosed the problem, almost had it fixed, and screwed up so badly. But here we are. Thank you for any help.
