Besides the usual 14 and 23hp gas AGT mini skids that all seem very similar in design, there was one significantly larger mini skid steer powered by a Kubota diesel at the local Ritchie Bros. auction. It looked more similar to a Vermeer in appearance and maybe twice the weight of the smaller gas units? Not sure of the final bid. I think it was over $10k.

Did some market research on this. In China ex works, producers requested 9.5k $, so final price with implements, taxes and delivery is close to 20k$ for pretty compact skid steer 1.3 tons. For this price there are a lot options on second hand market.
If it was below 10k, I would consider one.
I am talking about 24 hps 3 cyl engines (allegedly Kubota).
I asked why the price is o high, one supplier/producer stated that it was about costs of imported engines (6k$ for Kubota), which I put on doubt, since there is a factory in China, producing Kubota engines.

I read something about the Chinese engines not meeting emissions requirements, and some people buy them without engines and add them later.

I think those machines are over priced, since for 25k$ there are new compact articulated loaders from Sunward or compact skid steer from Lonking (analogue Bobcat s70), but with warranty and actual service at least for the first year, not remote support.
I considered them mainly because of caterpillars, they are more effective than wheels, especially on the dump soil.

I ran this machine the other day and it was absolutely a pile of garbage. I wouldn’t even pay $500 and the asking price was $5200. I honestly can’t believe people buy them in the quantities that they are.

I think those go for about $3,500 plus auctioneers' fee in Middle Tennessee then they ask $5,500 or whatever on marketplace. There were some chinese mini skid steers of a different brand that only went for $3,000 plus fees at the late June early July auctions.
