What’s holding me is the fact that I have no clue if Huayeeusa.com website is legit and I’m not getting scammed.

Buying directly from the maker in China does get you the best price, probably. (But US auction prices are super-low.)

But the stress of wiring your money and hoping your stuff will show up has value, too. That's why I used Alibaba.

Don't forget that spares are also super-cheap if you buy directly. Cylinders, hoses, seal kits, tracks, etc. And you do, generally get a year of warranty coverage for parts.

They have 3 units located in the USA ready to ship according to them. I just haven’t found anyone that has purchased directly through their website. I would buy through TEMU but they don’t allow payment with two credit cards as far as I know.

Your CC company offers buyer protection too, so in my opinion its a low risk. Chinese companies don't want to lose"face" here, meaning, they need to have a clean brand name and will do the right thng. Just make sure you have clear email communication on specific details, Model, Color, included items (thumb, filters, etc,) and finally the S/N of the unit prior to shipment with pictures if you want.

Also as Df Krug points out, buying a spare set of hoses, seal kits for cylinders, and a drive motor are much better price than after the fact.

Your credit cards should have Buyer protection. Not sure how that works when you spread a purchase over two different cards. I would not be all that concerned about your credit score from using 1 card over two. They look at total indebtedness. If you pay it off within a short time it probably will improve the score. Which you should anyway because interest on CC debt is going to be much larger than any investment gains.

Get a line of credit from your bank. The interest is usually lower than a credit card. Buy the digger with your credit card and pay off the credit card with the LOC.

You are right but I’ve already taken more than I wanted from my investments this year and I’m border line about to jump tax brackets. From 24% to 32% when we consider our incomes. I like paying the least possible in taxes. I could have purchased a very nice Kubota KX018-4 excavator with a few attachments with what I paid in taxes last year.

Just checked and informed myself. Credit cards won’t protect if a person knowingly made the purchase and is scammed. They only protect you with unauthorized charges and disputes with legit vendors and service providers. Now I know.
