Chainsaw sharpening, hand or grind?!

/ Chainsaw sharpening, hand or grind?! #121
First thing I do before sharpening a chain is to clean the cutters. I clean each cutting edge with a dry tooth brush if practical. I hand sharpen to touchup a slightly dull chain. After about two or three hand sharpenings, I use my Oregon 511A grinder after I have soaked and cleaned the entire chain.

I feel better now knowing I'm not the only one with RFS, (Rotating File Syndrome) I was beginning to think I needed some of those prescription drugs I see advertised on TV that does more harm then good, maybe it should be called RFC, Rotating File Club'
When I get a chance, I'll look into a file guide if I can keep the file loose. I notice the past few years for me to keep somewhat of the right chain angle I have to ware my eyeglasses, probably the same with some of you rotating file guys, so it's ether a file guide, or make sure I have my glasses with me when I get firewood.
I had a machine sharpener a couple years ago, gone now, another story, worked good while I had it, when I get some extra cash I'll get another one.
