man all these ideas are just great! i think i just need to get out there with my saw and see where its going to fit....70cc's isn't that easy to hide on a small tractor, but these ideas are inspiring.

Sorry for the odd shade of green, but was digging around 'todays posts' and I wanted to show off my scabbard. I made it out of kitchen cutting board - that makes this weather, oil and saw tooth proof :)

Here is the scabbard bolted to the loader mount.

This is a post of mine from 2005 on the same issue it is easy, effective, and almost free:

I put a couple two foot long pieces of 4 inch PVC pipe in the rear corners of my ballast box prior to filling the box with old weightlifting plates and gravel. They are just right for holding a chainsaw, a pry bar, an axe and other things I want with me in the woods. I seldomly carry a chain saw when I have the BB or back hoe installed.

Good idea with the pipe.

However, the ballast box is not where I want my chainsaw exposed to brush and small trees when working in the woods. Vulnerable enough when high and on the ROPS, but so far nothing other than a few brushes with the brush. :)
