I need the pro's help on this tiller. I am very interested in procuring this tiller. I was interested in a friends older Howard tiller, (which is a HD unit as well w/very few hours) but is not gear drive. Can anyone in here tell me if the tines on the CCM unit are has hard and will last as long as the one's on the Howard unit? The Howard has "C" type tines on it and another "L" set of tines included for $1600 but if for a few hundred $$ more I can get a better tiller, (??) then I will go this way. Whats do you guys think?

Tillers are tillers
Get one with easy to reach lube points and make sure it's constructed heavily.
tillers don't last very long, even if you rip it before you till. (never till virgin soil)

It's a hard life they lead.

That's my opinion.
