On the surface this doesnt belong here but CAT just announced fairly significant price increases for next year. Based on demand for product etc. 5% on machinery and 7% on engines. Beginning in Jan 2007. The increases are reported to be inline with other equipment makers. I am sure this will find its way down to us in many ways. I have to think the strain on resources for steel must be contributing.
