Catastrophic failure

No where near as bad as the one where the hydro filter was broken off the transmission case and the male threads were part of the casting of the transmission case. That required the whole transmission case to be replaced. Extremely lucky not more damage was done.

That's why I added a skid plate on my Kioti probably same location. With all the work I do in the woods around stumps I knew it would only be a matter of time.

Thanks here is another picture of the plate removed I also made a port with a cover plate so that the HYD oil filter can be removed without removing the plate. It was also a bit tricky getting it in there without interfering with the backhoe sub-frame.
