Hello Everyone,
I purchased a 1967 Case 310G dozer (diesel) with a 4 way blade yesterday and have been trying to figure out the battery configuration. Luckily the powers of google helped me find this great knowledge base.
My 310 came with two (600amp) batteries that were not hooked up. One battery is junk and the other is brand new. The place I purchased the dozer used a Jump box to start it and then I just left it running on my trailer until it was unloaded at home. My question is what is the proper battery size (two 600amp?) and the sequence in which they should be connected? I assume it is ground to negative (bat 1), positive (bat 1) to positive (bat 2), then negative (bat 2) to 2nd ground?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as the lady who sold it is still looking for the manual. Attached is a picture of my new toy!
