I used to use the carry-all with the old 8N. It would hold so much, the front just bounced lightly like you see at tractor pulls. It had a receiver hitch to pull the splitter. When I got the JD with a loader, I started using a 4' x 8' trailer. With the bucket and trailer I can get much more wood to the shed per load.
my dad put a 4 foot piece of plywood in his bucket and chained the front outside corners to the tow hooks on top of his bucket for his MF as a bucket extender. he is able to carry quite a bit this way.
I built a 4 foot wide by one row worth by 5 foot high carryall out of scrap t posts and c channel for my tractor. later i welded a 1 1/4 hitch tube under carry all for a cheap tow option for my splitter or trailer at the same time.
they both works for our needs. you should be able to figure something that works for you
