It's time for a floor.

I used some plastic flooring from a old hog building. 2" thick x 5 1/2" wide. The slots in it alows snow and rain to melt and run though, so it won't rott.

Nicely done DDT! you could have a dance party on all that space. Notice there's plenty of light aimed back there also.

You have almost a trailer there, I bet it's real handy. I need to do something like that myself perhaps with some sides. I had never heard of plastic flooring but it sounds like a good idea. How much weight have you put on it?

DDT,
Nice job!!
Looks like you won't have a use for a trailer now,and a nice looking work platform. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I have had the forks for a year now. My old 855 would max out the 3 point at times and never bent the 2" sq. tubing. how ever my 4300 has double the lift cap. I will surely find out what it will hold in time. the carryer frame is made of 1/4" x 2" x 3" angle iron, don't think that will bend. I can even slide the forks in from the back side if I need a tail gate. I thought about stack pockets for side boards, but I mainly need several places to chain or rope things on, I guess this would give me the best of both worlds. I plan on hauling my JD LT133 mower on it and a portable work bench.

Great project, and well done! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I've had several occasions when I could have used that thing, Dana. I guess my own project list just got longer. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Thanks for sharing.

That's definately one of the things on my auction-watch list! Very nice /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. I especially like the idea of being able to just slide the platform onto the forks from either direction. Do you use anything but weight to attach the platform?

Just FYI. I have a piece of plywood that I bolt to my three point bale carrier. You can pick up the bale carrier at the Farm & Fleet here for $150 new.

I gave $35 for the forks Sold, It wood cost that much for the metal. I hold it on by a 3/16" chain that is wraped around the upright on the forks and a link is welded to the top of the headache rack. With the use of channel iron the forks only have about 1/2" of play (up & down) so unless your slideing it on of off it can't go anywhere.
And even a wood shop can use this from time to time (TT)
Thanks for all your commints DDT
