These chrome looking plastic LED lights (for boats) look kinda silly, but they work really well. (So well that I got over my hesitation of posting this mod.) I wired them so I didn't need the key to turn them on. Very small draw of 20mA each. The switch is mounted in an unused "indicator" lamp hole. I used sticky back velcro to mount them and so far so good. Nice wide pattern of light when I flick them down. I'll dress up the wiring later if I'm happy with their location (and they stay stuck all summer long.)

I hope your luck with the stick-on velcro is better than mine. Never had any luck with it lasting any length of time. If you like the location, try industrial double sided tape.

All right! We have another budding tractor pimper on board!

A shot of my dome lights that I want to convert to LED one of these days.

Pretty slick. If it wasn't for the wiring, it would be hard to tell they were there. But why light an open cab? :confused2:

But I sure know what that twig came from that's resting in your hydraulic lines. Have fair crop of them trees myself. :D

Got the inspiration for them after dropping the keys one night when I was trying to move it out of the rain. The other thing I did was add a Harbor Freight key chain magnet (you can see it in the same shot as the twig) so that if I do happen to drop them they just stick to the floor. The only problem is that the magnet is REALLY strong and hard to get off anything it gets stuck to. What's nice about the lights is that they bath the entire area in light so that I rarely have to use the work light for hooking up at the 3 pt. quick hitch, etc.... Need to get a night shot of them for you to get the full effect. They use so little power that I don't need to worry about using them for extended periods.
