Non-double acting is a feature on cheaper low hydraulic flow machines. If it doesn't do it now it won't do it after you buy it. Tell your salesperson where to stick it in his sweet spot.
If you plan on a lot of loader work be sure to check the cycle times for raising/lowering the boom and curling/dumping the bucket. If they don't publish it then be prepared for very slow hydraulic cycle times. How much weight a machine lifts is only part of the equation. Cycle times are the gotchya's for less savvy buyers.
There is a LOT of variation out there and you get what you pay for. Manufacturers think that homeowners don't mind sitting around and waiting for the machines do do their jobs because they tend to buy based on machine color and the number of cup holders.
So, I have a SCUT (LS mt125) and YES, I can lift an curl at the same time. There is DEFINITELY a "sweet spot" in order to get it to do both. If your not in that spot...it won't. My hydraulic flow is only 4.6 gal.
