Been looking at a JD 5075e and now am looking at a Workmaster 75. JD has their owner manuals online for a free look and pdf download, but New Holland doesn’t - unless you register a serial numbered tractor. I’m just looking...

Anyhow - the vertical drawbar weight limit on the JD per their manual is 500 ish lbs. The drawbar probably can take more, but less loader, probably would get light quick on the front end IMHO.

Question - what is the max vertical drawbar load allowed on a Workmaster 75?

If you have an operators manual and could look and share that number, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Vertical drawbar weight limit 5075e is 2470lbs retracted position, 1675 lbs extended position, same as my 5085E. Can’t help you on New Holland

So when I look at the owner’s manual on John Deere’s website for a 2023 year 5075e and it says 552 lbs - that is a misprint?

I would say it’s a misprint, the specs I read for the 5075e drawbar capacity were identical to my 5085E . Here’s the specs right from my owners manual.

The drawbar and framework on a 5075E is constructed differently (less beefy) than a 5075E.

Hopefully someone with a 5075e will take a look in they’re owners manual for you. Yes on the drawbar frame being less beefy than the 4 cylinder 5e’s. However it’s still got to be designed to support more than 550 lbs . I’ve got a bush hog 1812 model 12’ batwing that has a tongue weight of 1100 lbs and it’s recommended to be used with 50-75 hp tractors. IMO no way in hell Deere would have a drawbar on that tractor with only a 550lb limit
