BX23 Flat Tire

I had a BX23 that I used in the woods a lot and I had a lot of trouble poking holes in the bar tires. I also had a set of turfs that I used as spares while getting the others fixed. I found that the bar tires were really very weak between the treads - and I couldn't always hit the sharp sticks with a bar. At first I went to the dealer for tire repairs and replacements, but it was a pain, expensive and they didn't really seem to stock much. I finally discovered that my local tire place was quicker and cheaper. I switched from the OEM brand to Carlisle tires that were clearly better - but cost less. Now I have a b26 and I'm contemplating getting a second set of wheels with turfs - but I'm sure it will be much more expensive than my B26

I have the "non-turf" tires. The only reason I say that is because a Kubota dealer told me today that there are THREE types of tires available: turf, construction and a third type. This was news to me.

I do know that my tires are not turf tires and they have a chevron pattern....

Hoggy,

I assume you are looking for front ag tires. The BX23 is a WEIRD size. You might try contacting Carvers or Messicks to see if they can sell you a wheel + tire. I also *think* I saw a phone number on the side of the actual tire. Too dark and too tired to go look.

Members here have reported it was cheaper and easier to order replacement tires already on wheels.

Please post here if you find anything. I will be due for new fronts in the next year.

Wheww! old thread.
Here is my thread on getting new tires for my 23. I was having many problems with holes in the tires and none since.

I don't think you will find a much easier or cheaper option than buying them on the rim from the dealer. Oh and you have to talk to the salesman not the parts department, at least at my dealer, the salesman gets them in sets and the parts department gets them in pieces.

I have a brand new wheel and tire front ag tread for the bx 23 if anyone is interested, im in new york and dont know what it would cost to ship it

I stopped getting flats when I had my BX-23 tires foamed filled... best money I've spent...

Never failed... 3 times I had a weekend of projects and 3 times I couldn't get them done due to flats.

The nice thing is my Tires were OK to foam fill with flats, patches and all...
