The air hammer is an idea I can try. I'm still hitting it with penetrating oil, and have considered welding a nut to the end of the pin to see if it will break loose. I have a friend with a torch I can use if all else fails. Thanks for the response!

I've been spraying penetrating oil into the pins for the last couple of weeks. Hope to drive them out next week and see just what I have to do.

I sprayed penetrating stuff on my backhoe bucket pivot pin for years. I am pretty sure it did nothing.

When trying to drive the pin out, the problem is when the end of the pin starts to mushroom. That is a no bueno situation.

Since I cut my pivot pin to get the bucket off so I could work on it, it was toast already. So I drilled a 3/8" hole through it, which gave a place for the mushrooming to go. I had to remove the dipper stick so I could lay it down flat and get my weight behind the drill. That was the furthest I had ever drilled through a single piece of steel. My old Milwaukee 1/2" drill was complaining, but it did it.

I had to drive it back and forth a few times before I committed to driving it completely out. At first, it took 10 licks with an 8 pound sledge to get it to move an 1/8".

It is nice being done with the project that has been staring at me for years.:)
