Bx2200

My neighbor is interested in Bx2200, fel, and a rear mount snowblower. He went to a local dealer (right around the corner) and received a quote of 12000 + 8 percent sales tax.
Do you think this is a good price or should he compare with JD and Ford/NH. Whats the difference between the BX2200 and the Bx 22? We need some guidence here please.

These price questions are always diffucult, they can vary considerably. The BX2200 is the standard version and is not intended for use with a backhoe. The BX22 comes with a backhoe--it cannot be purchased without one. Yes, the BX22 backhoe can be removed for use with 3 point attachments and in this mode it looks and acts just like the BX2200. If you do not want the backhoe the BX2200 is what you want.

a good price would be:10608.85 and a great price would be: 9984.8

Depending on the type of snowblower you could add $1000-1500 onto the above price.

Look around, also see the above web site for internet dealers, carver for one.

Good luck, the BX2200 is a great tractor, what are his plans for using it?? you may want to consider a bigger unit if all he wants to do all FEL work, what about a deck for mowing??
Do a search on the site for the BX2200 a lot of information and may hours of reading!
