My Bx22 will be delivered in 7-10 days. I decided to buy one after reading TBN and trying one out at the dealer. I will be getting a lot of seat time using the BH to remove pine tree stumps and clean up after an ice storm tipped over many trees. Also plan to move a lot of dirt with the FEL. I bigger BH may do the job faster but that would mean that I would get less seat time. I will be keeping my JD322 for lawn mowing and snowblowing chores.

Good decision. My came friday and I now have 8 hours on it.
It's a nice machine. It mows much better than my Cub 3205 and I can finally back up with out disengaging the mower. Besides mowing, I used the fel to move some stuff and practiced with the BH but I'll need lots more practice.
What attachments did you get?

I'm not planning to get any other attachments at the moment. I have a good JD with Yanmar engine that I mow with, snowblow with, enclosed cab, and also have a 54" front blade and a garden plow, etc. If I ever sell that I would get a rear finishing mower, enclosed cab and snowblower for the Kubota. At the moment I have a lot of property tasks to do with the BX22. I'm betting that the backhoe is adequate for removing some pine stumps although it will take some time for each one. Also will be moving some dirt with the FEL.

What would be a good price for the BX22? Also can it handle a post hole digger?

I just ordered my new BX22!! I tried one out at the dealer and was QUITE impressed. I really didn't know that this small machine could move so much dirt. The HST is wonderful and all of the controls are very easy to use, especially for this newbie tractor user. I will be getting my new "baby 'bota" with FEL, backhoe, and rake with gauge wheels on Monday or Tuesday.
Hmmm... I think I feel a cold coming on...<cough, sneeze>... guess I might have to stay home from work on Wednesday. What a shame. :)

I recently took delivery of a BX22 from the dealer near Honesdale, PA. I was satisfied with his price which was much less than the $16,900 quoted by my nearest dealer. Since I bought it in an adjacent state from mine I prefer to not post that price but would provide it by private email. I got it with no additional items, just the BH and FEL. He delivered it, trip of about 80 miles, and will pick it up, do the 50 hour servicing, and return it when it is time, at no charge.

I have plenty of work for the BH with many pine tree stumps to be removed. I removed 4 smaller ones in about an hour and a big one (14" diameter at base) in about two hours. Could not lift it from the hole but could pull it out with a chain. Now all I have to do is figure out what to do with the stump. So far I am really impressed with the BH.

bryce,
i am in new york and paid $17,500 w/60"mmm,4-way hydraulic, engine block heater, rear auxiliary light,12"backhoe bucket and turf tires. it comes w/ a 10" bucket. hope this helps.

there were not a lot of bx22 around when i got mine a month ago.i finally found a guy about 90 miles away who had nine of them just delivered. i went up that day and left a deposit. i have a trailer so i was able to go pick it up.
its a great machine, only negative comment is no tachometer, and i will be getting a spare set of ag tires because the turf tires are horrible in the mud.
good luck
