Well it is official. Kubota is coming out with a auto connect drive over deck, expected ETA summer 2015. It will have more ground clearance than JD and only available for the bx 23 & 26 series in 54" & 60" decks. It will be more money than the standard deck. And there is no retrofit available to convert a standard deck over to auto connect as the auto connect is a completely new design.

Wow. Interesting. Surprised there's been no posts here on your news, but not surprised Kubota is going to offer one. I think the auto-connect deck was one feature Deere had that was a significant difference for some SCUT buyers, particularly older buyers who don't want to or can't hassle with deck mounting/removal. Can you share any links to where you saw this news that made it official? When you say only the BX 23/26 would that include the BX25 since it is basically a BX2370 with extra framing for the Backhoe?

I got the info from a kubota sales rep that just returned from the 2014 dealer meeting. He had a printed brochure on the new auto connect deck. I read the brochure myself and asked numerous question. I do not know if the bx25 will accept the new deck ,as it never came up. I was looking at dealing my little BX in this fall for either a new JD or a large BX , but now I will wait for the new deck to come out.

I just looked at the brochure for them and all the other new products. Very nice. Lots of other very cool stuff on the way from Kubota.

The auto-connect deck is not compatible with the BX25 due to clearance. We'll be posting a short article on this next week.

I don't care....make it work, I bet you will sell more to existing owners then to new owners.

Any idea if this will retro to say a 2660?

The deck here comes off once a year for cleaning greasing and sharpening, think the emphasis on needing one is way overblown, but I do not live in snow country and have a blower also.

I would not trade mine for a new tractor with the auto connect deck. It takes me about ten mins to unmount.. a little more to re connect the 60 MMM.

Yes it would be nice to have a drive over MMM for the BX but it is easy enough to connect it and disconnect it the way it is now, if you take it off and the wheels are holding it up off of the ground it is almost effort less to take it off. My dad is 52 years old and he can take it off and pull it out with no problem.

my thought too. nice to have it in the catalog, but never thought it really necessary. Its never as easy as it looks on the demo's, and the manual process is very predictable.

John Deere and the auto connect nonsense, they are trying to develop demand for a feature that they have that makes their ok tractor try to look better than a BX.
If I had to blow snow the deck would come off twice a year right now it is once a year to clean, sharpen, and grease.

Not that I'll be trading up to get one, but would love to see how this works. A video would be great. Anybody find one on the net somewhere?

I could see drive over being nice, not so much the autoconnect. Same with the 200cx loader on my neighbors JD. I thought that was pretty neat but I think in 100 hours of use I've taken the loader off 3 times, and it was mostly for novelty purposes (1 just to do it and know how, 2 just to gain better access for 50hr service, and 3 for easy access running wires for aux lights).

There are times when somethings get overengineered - this may be one of them.

I can see that if one is just "mowin' or blowin'", it's not much of an issue. But if one is changing operations frequently, as I am, the FEL, MMM and other attachments are going on and off frequently. Ideally, if I had lots of money and storage space, I'd own a dedicated mower. But my "all purpose" machine needs to be as convenient as possible. As to the current 60" MMM, I'm happy with the way it mounts and dismounts and don't even use its current drive over design.
Cheers,
Mike

I posted in another thread, but here is duplicate:

I was at a Kubota dealer a couple of days ago test driving the Bx2370. The salesman told me the new Bx's will have an optional drive over MMM this spring.

He told me he was just at a regional meeting and had a brochure regarding the drive over decks, which he made me a copy of. The model numbers of the decks are:

RCK60D-26BX
RCK54D-26BX

He said they option will cost approximately $500 more than the regular MMM and that he ordered several of the Bx series with drive over decks for this coming spring.

Here is the brochure:
