BX-25 ROPS

This is just for a laugh. I normally pull my tractor into the garage when I am done working with it. This past weekend I did it again, forgot to push the ROPS down before entering! haha! Well, luckily I was able to bang out most of the dent to the entrance overhang with a rubber hammer. I was wondering if I am the only bozo that has done that. My wife says I can no longer yell at our toddler for tearing up the house when I am setting such a bad example for him to follow.

Trust me when I say you are not alone...MANY THREADS on this one...Thats why I cut down my ROPS by 3" no more issues...:thumbsup: (ROPS Police are coming to get me)

I did it and thought maybe God was lifting the front end of my tractor as I slowly pulled it in. I looked and looked but couldn't see where my front wheels were running up on anything. Didnt take me too long though since I reminded myself 25 times throughout the day to put the ROPS down before pulling into the garage. I like to leave the ROPS up all the time but leave it down if I think it will be safe so I don't forget again - Really the best idea is to leave it up all the time though.

Glad I am not the only one. Funny, the first time I did it I thought the same thing, "Why is the front end of the tractor lifting up?".

Nor have I.:laughing: My BX25 and F3080 fits but a previous L3240 Grand with canopy, I believe done this.

I keep a couple of feet of orange survey tape tied to the garage door handle to remind me. Also a big yellow sticker on the dash "CHECK ROPS!"

Almost did it last week... 5" to spare. One of those things to put on a checklist... <g!>.

LOL! While it's obvious you are uniquely special, you ain't the only person to forget your ROPS. Not by a loooong shot. And we're all bozos here...

mine clears,but was helping out a neighbor had to fix his FORD,his is atleast 10 inches higher then mine,yep caught the bottom panel,hours and hours later was able to pound out most of it,called the door people $450.00 for one 16"panel,so i put the second one on the bottom,and the dented on on top of that,again after hours,and hours,dosn't look to bad but no more MR. NICE GUY,that is untill the next time,but will remember to look up

LOL welcome to the club, I did it once....popped a wheelie when it hit, no damage to the BX but the garage took it hard Another time forgot about the FEL and hit the garage door track and the jam.........I got more:laughing:

I have. I am so close to cutting my rops down couple inches to fit in garage in front of house. I purposely built a new garage in back with higher doors in back of house just for the BX. The ROPS police will never take me alive if I ever do modify the ROPS! :laughing:

Hey, let's hear it for 8' garage doors! I buggered up two "plastic" garages (the $200 ones that you assemble yourself), but then I built a real 24' X 24' garage and simply put an 8' O.H. door on, so problem solved! (Mind you, the 8' high garage door was more expensive, and I had to add a $60 extension kit to the door opener which only cost about $200 in the first place.)

Me too with the 8'door on mine and I'll never look back or is that up?

I've done it too.. now I have a sign that hangs down in front of me when I drive in the door that says "Put ROPS DOWN !!

It's hung from two screws in the door by string, so that it hangs flat against the bottom door panel when the door's down. Works great.
