BX-24 Rear Drive Shaft Fan Questions

I like the plastic fenders...especially when I back into buildings/fences/trees while mowing "up close." I'm lazy...with all the board fencing to string trim, I try to mow as close a possible.

I like avoiding the buildings/fences/trees even better.

I made a replacement fan in two halves out of pvc and carbon fiber, and bolted it round the center of the old fan. It blows up a gale at 2000 revs and keeps everything nice and cool.

Call me paranoid, but I worry that one fine day it'll fly apart while I'm taking a leak in yonder bush, and things will turn very nasty.

Is this a metal cover or plastic ? google doesnt show any results of this part number. Looks like a call to my dealer will be needed. how did you come across this part number ?

Given that it's a design flaw, compounded by the fact Kubota made it outrageously expensive to replace on 24s, it oughta be free...

I think this is something that Kubota has just recently come up with. I was just recently made aware of it. I'm attaching a picture of it from the parts breakdown for those who are interested. We don't have one as we have been fortunate to not have any customers break thier fan as of today.

if you look at the pics, there is a opening on the bottom anyway for the fan to flow thru or air movement, how is that protecting anything ? I suppose its better then nothing , but should be offered to existing bx owners for free!

I think that the drawing perspective fools the eye - I bet the size of the angle portion is bigger than it appears and the hole is to provide for the PTO access.

Let me be devil's advocate for a moment...if owner has one of these installed and fan gets damaged, is fan covered under warranty?

awesome !! It would be great if you took pics and some sort of measurements if it not too much trouble before you install it. I am curious on how it would fit on other BX's as well.

I just received my fan cover kit also but cant figure out where it bolts to. Any one have any experience putting one of these on yet?
