Bush hog gouging

/ Bush hog gouging #21
Many of these posts are alluding to changing the height of the Top Link. Try not using the Top Link and running with the tail wheel up an inch and controlling the height of cut with the 3 point lift. Of course make sure the lift pins are tight and without slop. Can be putting down pressure on turns if the link is tight and the outside is slightly uphill.

/ Bush hog gouging #22
Adjust your top link and lift so that the front of the mower is higher than the rear and your tail wheel should be in contact with the ground. This should minimize gouging when turning but not eliminate it especially with a single tail wheel and uneven ground.
