If I want a very nice finish job I use my Trimble equipped Dual Dozer. I just sit back, steer, and run the throttle. Similar to this:

Very informative video - if you have a motor patrol grader.

That was just to show what different pitches are good for.

No question about it - if you really want to do a lot of road work, there's no substitute for a good maintainer like that show in the video. 8-way blade and mid-mount make all the difference when it comes to making a pretty road with proper borrow ditches and drainage. A dozer is great for dozing, but a grader is the best tool for road building.
