Build-It-Yourself Attachments KITS??? interested?

We do make single and double bottom plows but haven't worked out many details on the kits yet. The kits would be the ETA attachments that are made here at our facility.

Haven't heard back on the TBN poll, so lets try the Doodle Poll.

Anyone have a problem with keeping the end date as the 14th as was planned? Should I move it out being as the poll start was delayed?

That way he could monitor the assembly, and make note of both any difficulties the assembler was having, and see, in -real time- what he considers "mistakes" (i.e. bad welds) or design issues that might be improved.

Monitoring the process isnt the point... The point is giving away a couple of hundreds of bucks worth of premade parts, and getting a huge word of mouth going on at TBN in return.... The cheapest advertisement a manufacturer could wish for... Do you really think they need this input for a simple box blade, after making the thousands of them ? they have their apprentices in the welding shop too

I believe all he asked was how much interest would there be in a build it yourself kit.

Some of you are recommending some of you for the potential builder. He doesn't need anyone to build the kits as he probably has a full work force.

I am thinking he might cut out the kit and offer it for a price and see if there are any takers.

Everyone is hoping for a large discount on the kits, but you will not know until it is cut out ready for shipment.

I believe he did ask for someone to build a "free trial kit" with the expectation of good detailed feedback here on TBN.

There are also a few other threads about this, in which 17 members were nominated, and can be voted on until the 14th of this month.

So yea, EA is giving a volunteer a kit to build and be showcased here on TBN:thumbsup:

Actually, he asked us to choose someone to build one and he will ship that to them for free to assemble and report back. Voting ends at midnight Eastern on the 14th.

You are right and I could not remember reading that.

From the list, you know the selected person will do an excellent job, but what does that say for the average guy wanting to build from a kit.

If these kits become available, they will probably sell most of them to the average person with average welding skills.
