Bucket Capacity

A friend asked me today about his bucket capacity and after looking it up, I thought it might be useful to post here in case anyone wanted to know on their machine.

In a general landscaping situation (Honey-do list /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif) does a larger bucket create more of a strain on the tractor. I'm thinking that the wider bucket, covering the width of the wheels would make clean-up/dress-up quicker. How much is too much?

I got a "small" 61" HD bucket which is wider than tire print. This is MUCH easier to push through sod than the standard 72" bucket for my 4310, with less resultant stress on the loader. It is easier to get a full bucket. I also got the optional high volume bucket which I use for snow removal. The QA feature allows bucket (or forks) changes in 2 minutes. The difference in buckets adds greatly to the versitality of the tractor/loader.

Anyone know what the volume is on the 61" HD bucket you've got with your 4310?

Is that the materials bucket, or the HD bucket? Are they both the same volume?
