I have a chance of getting a swing arm brush mower, do you TBN experts think my L45 can handle the side weight of the mower?

It looks to be hydraulic driven. If so check your hydraulic flow capacity to verify it is adequate.

Also, do you know the weight of the entire apparatus? Along with the entire length?

From there, with some simple maths, you can then calculate the loading factors.

Man, that would be some serious weight hanging off to one side of your loader.

Swing Arm Boom Mower Skid Steer Loader Attachment

Skid Steer
Requirements
17-30gpm
The swing boom cutter should only be
used on 70+ HP skid steers with a lift
capacity of at least 1800 lbs. and with a
weight of at least 6500# with the
bucket removed. A skid steer equipped
with tracks will provide superior
stability in this application.
Weight: 1025lbs.

The L45 has the TLB loader, which is the TL1000A. Max lift capacity is ~2,800 lbs. I doubt that mower weights more than 1,000 lbs. Wish the picture was clearer.

You are probably borderline being able to lift that with your loader, but there will be a lot of extra wear and twisting to your loader if you used it very often. The bigger question is if you have enough hydraulic pressure to run it? and if you do, how much more cooling will it require to deal with the increase maxing out your hydraulic pump?

I’d be worried about the side load. A skid steer is a lot more capable of taking that force.

Thanks guys Ruffdog nailed it. all good advice the only thing is the 70+ horse power and the 17-30 GPM. I think the GPM would be alright and I was not planning on using it very often but I don't want to tear something up trying to make things easier on myself.

The 10gpm at 2,500psi on the Grand Ls is only 15hp at best. I bet the TBLs have a little better flow, but not by much. You'll end up with less power than a riding mower trying to spin that beast. Not to mention the ballast issues previously mentioned.

That's what I was worrying about I think the L45 is about 12GPM
