We got some time to extend the wheel mount behind so the wheel can turn 360º. Not pretty but a utilitarian modification. We used some 3/8 plate laying about. Then we loaded the hog on the trailer. Finally off the lift and out of the way. It is ready for transport back to my shop tomorrow.
Things I'm still wanting to do to it. Add skid plates 2x2 angle to the skirts.
Add chain to the front opening. Can anybody recommend a size and spacing for the chain? Replace broken grease fittings and grease. After testing - if warranted... paint
PICS TOMORROW

Get those chains as close as possible to each other so the debris have less room to escape.

I was cringing on a new Spanish made cutter I saw last night for sale that had like 2.5" open space between the chains along with a very light chain. That left a looot of room for things to go out flying.

I like the spacing on mine. Seems to work fairly well. I can't measure the exact spacing as the cutter is on the remote propriety and I don't know when I'm going back there again. Chains look like either 1/4" or 5/16" and spacing maybe 1.5" or close to that.

That rear idler wheel is great when you back into a lump or hill you'd like to cut. Over the weekend I did that maybe 15 times.
We extended the wheel mount 12 " to allow the wheel to rotate 360º with about 2 inches of clearance.

Dealers import all kinds of Italian equipment, so I don't see why you couldn't get one if you put in a request.

I never knew those were not available here until I read the other thread.

Then tonight came in and saw this thread, very cool to watch the build!

And an arm or a leg ?
Yeah, couldn't say for sure about the price, what I can say is most of the things I see like the Italian made 3 point hitch fertilize spreaders and finish mowers are very competitively priced and from what I have seen are of pretty good quality.
