I've got a 30 year old 5 ft. Woods Dixie Cutter. Bought it new. It was their standard duty 5 footer at the time.
Used it to mow about 15 acres, twice yearly. Some of it was grown up to sumac and small ash. Anything much over an inch was really too much for it, but it took the abuse well. Pulled it with Ford 2000, JD40 and Ford 4000.
About 6 years ago the deck started cracking around the gear box. Dad welded it up and added some reinforcements. The deck cracked a little more and then stopped. It's been a second string player since I got a Woods Brush Bull 720 last year. Still nice to use behind the smaller machines though. The Brush Bull is a heavy beast.
