I wasn't sure where to post this or how to do the photos, so.... After knocking some holes in my cab, my brother repaired it and put brush guards on. It is designed for easy removal and uses steel tubing. I didn't do any of the work, so I don't have specifics. This should work to generate ideas regardless of the make/model of your tractor.

That is VERY cool. I don't have the need for it myself (as I'm only dealing with cedar trees), but it's a great design for those who do. Kudos to your brother.

Nice job, looks very professional, just what a nice tractor like that needs!

Just an FYI for those who have been told a Kubota cab top cannot be fixed, buy a new one, this is what the top looked like before my brother fixed it, damage on both front corners with most on the left front.

Triple r- Looks great, I like it. I would have loved to have a cab, but with all of the trees we have here in East Texas I would have destroyed one in a very short time. Now it looks like you're a lot closer to bullet-proof.

I sure know what you mean, I don't know why someone doesn't make these for tractors. My allergies have gotten so bad, I often wear a 3M dust mask even with a cab.

I sure wish I could run an open station as even with this, there are places on our farms I just can't go and even a ROPS gets in the way.

After hooks on the bucket this is my 2nd mod for my 3037. Have to try hard to not over do it. I really like the light guards on the back. Nice finishing on the welds too. May I ask what sort of tubing he used? I'm thinking maybe black gas pipe?

I leave my mirrors on, back problems make it impossible to turn around to see behind me. Our renters fold the mirrors all the way forward on his 7000 Series John Deere when working around trees and that seems to work well.

Thanks, he sure put a lot of work in it. We are going to need to add some rubber in a couple of places as we are getting some resonance, but it sure is nice not to worry so much when we get close to trees.

Probably to late but I have added rope inside tubing to dampen vibration.

Thanks, I'll tell my brother as he is going to make one for our M8540 when work slows down enough.

I like the cab light mounting approach better than on my 2006 DK45 cab. Mine stick up above the cab and, like the mirrors, keep getting whacked by aggressive trees.

Might consider drilling a few holes in the tubing to squirt in some expanding foam to dampen vibration.

My cab mirrors kept getting bonked too, and the adjustment ball couldn't be tightened enough to keep the mirror from going out of adjustment every time instead of just swinging out of the way. Fixed that by filling area around ball with caulk and then loosening mirror swing pivot so it released easily, then Loctite retaining nut. Dealer had it tightened so it wouldn't hardly release.

I mentioned foam to my brother, but we had to remove them to have the third function added and he had to move attachment points etc., so used rubber mounts I think and the noise is now gone.

He also modified the right step so it could be used, it had to be eliminated by the dealer, I don't have any pictures, but will try to get some.

Check out 'payeur.com' and have a look at their 'Forester' unit. One of the biggest Kioti dealers in Eastern Canada
