Just thought I'd provide some feedback for those doing research before purchasing. I recently bought the Brotek ripper and give it a solid thumbs up. A quality attachment to add to the arsenal, I highly recommend it. I recently removed a stump from the front of the house. The ripper made light work of cutting all the roots while the bucket would get stuck. I also found it very usefull in removing larger bush stumps that were in between sidewalks that I didn't want to risk damaging with the bucket. I have 3 more stumps lined up for it in the next few weeks. The purchase process was simple and the shipping was fast. I also bought the trenching piece but have yet to give that a try.

Radioman-I used it on a 2007 BX24, I forget the BH model that come with it.

Just2quickz28-$230 for the ripper, $130 for the trenching plow and $40 for express shipping from Canada. So $400 all told.

Airic-Not only is the root ball as big as an escalade, the basket ball hoop to the right of it is for the jolly green giant

I agree that it is an excellent tool. It will even scratch into the hardest of true hardpans, whereas a bucket on a BX cannot. This, however, does take a toll on the tip of the ripper. It took less than 5 min. for the very sharp tip to be nothing more than a well rounded blunt point. It is too bad that the shank is not set up for a bolt on/removable carbide tooth. Mine was the first prototype that Richard made for a Woods BH6000. He made the mounts wider than those on the bucket. This is not a real problem; I just had to buy longer bucket pins.
