That's good information. I am a firm believer in doing as much of my own maintenance as I can that is within my technical ability. In doing this, I can afford to change fluids more often and I can see first hand what is in the oil. It may seem like overkill or unnecessary but it is definitely cheaper in the long run.

One of the other issues I have come across is loose or missing bolts on the loader. You need to check these every time you use the tractor. This last time I checked them, I pulled them out and put a bit of lock-tite on them.

I haven't noticed any loose bolts. However, I will check and pay closer attention. Thanks!

When I replaced my CK4010 HST shifter that broke, it clearly showed signs of metal fatigue, most likely caused by a design failure. Well the part i ordered from Michigan Iron, was not delivered, Kioti has already redesigned the HST shifter, and assigned a different part number. This i did not know occurred, but Michigan Iron certainly did and sent me the updated design. Kudos to Kioti for redesigning the shifter mechanism, with a slight 3 degree change in angle of the shifter, and beefed it up where metal fatigue showed.

It is good that Kioti is willing to improve on their design if a flaw has been found. It's just too bad that they couldn't give the consumer a break on the replacement part. I guess if the warrantee is still good they might. My warrantee has expired and so I was on the hook for this repair. I was disappointed that it broke from just common use. My tractor is a 2016 that I purchased new, keep in my shop when not being used and has about 370 hours on it. I really like this tractor, just surprised with this flaw.

I had the same issue with my CK3510 gear shift. I attributed the lower linkage (Item 13) breaking due to stress I put on the shift lever when the hammer loop on my wool bibs went over the shift knob while I was attempting to dismount the tractor, along with the back of my jacket slipping over the shift knob on 3 occasions. All four times the linkage experience torque from me attempting to dismount the tractor. The gear shift linkage broke while I was piling up brush from several windfalls, under normal (no stress) R to 2 shifting. I was dumbfounded when the gear shift link failed. It'd been months since the last episode of me catching my jacket on the gear shift knob.

I purchased the lower linkage (Item 13), that goes into the transmission housing, and replaced it myself. 2.5 hours sounds about right, doing it the first time. I could probably do it in less than an 1.5 hours now that I've done it once.

I did JB Weld the upper and lower linkages together and used the tractors for several months before replacing Item 13.
I hope you see these, and I'll attach pictures. I broke the main shift lever and I took the 4 bolts out of the base plate and can't figure out how to get the main shift lever and plate out so I can change it out.
