Brighter Headlights BX2200

Matt, when I ordered my alternator they looked in the parts book and came up with something like $295 but after reading some threads here, I asked them what the price was from the Whole goods (I think that's what they called it) catalog and it was $165 and that is the complete kit. Did they tell you how long it would be until you get it?

Harley, I got my alternater the next day (yesterday), put it on last night. As someone else mentioned, the instructions were crappy, but the instructions I pulled off TBN were great (thanks to whoever posted them). I can now turn on all the lights (6), heater, 4 ways, and I'm sure stuff I don't have, and it will maintain 14 volts easily. Still not certain I got the best price on the alternater, but I'm ready for winter.

I too wanted to be able to see under the bucket in the dark so I mounted a single rectangular light under the front of the tractor and added a switch next to the other switches on the dash. I used some sheet metal bent on a 90 degree angle to mount the light to, and then used holes that were already in the frame to mount the sheet metal to. (See Attachment)

That would work for me too - what kind of light did you use? Looks like a fog or backup light

Has anyone tried the LED replacement bulbs for the 1156? These are supposed to have similar light output and require significantly less current.

LED bulbs are not as bright but use significantly less power and run far cooler. Check out the comparison that this biker did of comparable taillight bulbs:

Halogens will definitely run too hot. A Xenon bulb looks like the best answer from all my research.
