I did get the pressure gauge on last night.
At Idle - FEL valve centered - 200 psi
At Idle - FEL valve full range (raising bucket) - 200 psi
At 2500 RPM - FEL valve centered - 800 psi
At 2500 RPM - FEL valve centered - 1200 psi (spiked to about 1800 when it hit the top of the cyclinder.)

Started tearing down the tractor last night for pump removal. Everything is in the way. Hope to finish it later today.

You should not have that kind of pressure in a hyd circuit with all valves in neutral.

You still have not done a good pump test yet.

I recommend you remove the pump and take it to a hyd shop and let them test it with a flow meter and pressure gage.

If you saw pressure at 1800 psi, that must be where your relief pressure is set.

You have some restrictions in the flow path.working against you.

I have a 3510i that has developed a hydraulic problem. The whole system has weakened drastically over the last few hours of use. Right now if it's not at least at 2200 rpm, it will not raise the empty loader bucket. The backhoe (Branson 7620) moves very slowly and again not at all at low rpm. I tried changing the hyd filter (OEM filter) and topping off the fluid but it did not help.
I'm in the middle of a project and need to get back up and running. Any advice appreciated!

Bad quick connect? restricting flow from main pump after or maybe possibly a problem in the fel control block?

200 PSI in an open center system and 800 psi @2500 rpm valve centered = a restriction that should not be there...even with a problem pump jmo

I would definitely follow J_Js advice in the order he suggested to troubleshoot this

The pump is off. What a PIA. I don't see anything obvious. No metal shavings, the gears look good and no leaking. I will take it and have it tested. If it checks out I was thinking that I would put the line into the FEL into the return and see how the backhoe operates (on the remote).
The dealer told me that the relief should be set at 2500psi. If the controls are centered I should se no pressure on the line into the FEL? I did have a very difficult time disconnecting one line from the FEL but I would think that would only affect the loader and not the backhoe?

Btw. Thanks for all the advise. Time to study up on hydraulics.

i had the same issue, had a small leak on the hose above the 2 hydrolic pumps.finally decided to orser a new hose. when i pulled the old hose off found the hose split half way around on the back side. from the front the hose looked new. installed new hose and wala, steering works can now raise and lower the bucket. when you pull off the old hose there is a spring inside, remove the spring and place in the new hose, the new hose does not com with that spring. good luck.
