Okay, you're probably all still anticipating the outcome. ... I do appreciate all of the genuine helpful suggestions here, and I apologize for my lack of participation, but I was pretty ticked off for a while and needed some time in denial.

You changed your handle from Mummer and started a new account I guess? After all the dust settled was there any actual damage or is everything good ?

I'm not Mummer. I just piggybacked on this thread instead of starting a new one, since I had the same thing happen. I think he had real damage to his tractor. My only damage was that the hooks that hold the loader stand up while installed got bent; the tractor has a few scratches on the grill guard. A few hits with a rubber mallet made the hooks functional.

OMG, just discovered this old Post and the OP has me laughing my *** off. I looked at his pictures and Holly Crap, he really screwed the pooch...

Not really a laughing matter at all IMO.

I would like to how the OP ended up.

Yea, I would have to say it's a laughing matter. He describes how things go totally haywire and he has no idea of what he's doing as he rips the front end off a brand new tractor then goes back for several more attemps to the point where he has the loader arms to a right angle of the tractor and hydraulic fluid pouring out. The guy probably needs help screwing in a light bulb. Some people have to realize their limitations. This is the same guy you hear about rolling a tractor the first time on it or driving into a pond or killing someone. Yea I wonder why things suddenly went silent, hmmm.

I'm sure this kind of thing happens more than you think. They're just to embarrassed to post.

I actually responded last year on this post, but clearly, missed the photos. All I can say is... if you back into the garage door with your car, you don’t floor it and drive out the back wall. Holy cow! I can’t see the dealer OR Kubota accepting the damage as a warranty item. Too much damage was created by what looks like a ticked off operator. After it was noticed the loader was not correct, he should have stopped. I move my loader (BX267O) around by hand without a dolly all the time. It’s not that heavy. It’s pretty obvious from experience that one side was not locked in the mount saddle, and the OP retracted the lift cylinders, pulling the arm out of the saddle further. Once the arms are out of sequence (different positions), the lift cylinders need to be manually equalized to set them in the same position. The OP just kept fidgeting with it and destroyed the loader and tractor.

"It’s pretty obvious from experience"

Or lack thereof...
This is where the problems start. Lots of guys getting off a 38" craftsman and getting on something they are not familiar at all. Hard to believe there's not more people getting hurt.

You mean I read this entire thread not realizing it was two years old without the OP telling us the resolution???

Shame on me I guess...

Think the site needs a middle finger emoji for the OP!

Usually not this crude...

Dude got what ferred from Professor Orange early on as many others have. No surprise he seagulled. Probably figured he wouldn't get a lot of help, so there was no reason to endure more finger pointing.

Actually, at 1st, he was getting help, he was getting good advice. He just chose not to listen to it, and kept trying to fix it himself. I think he even said, "what more harm can i do" or something to that effect.

I'm thinking he had to eat a lot if not all the repair bill, and is to embarrassed to come back and admit it.

Well Guys, how about this dummy! 006.JPG001.JPG

After five years of install/remove the FEL, I screwed up bad. IIRC It was late and I was tired and forgot to put the stands down. Ended up denting the grill, scratching the side panels and damaging some hydraulic lines. IIRC I had to take the FEL apart to get the cylinders aligned.......IIRC.

Cheers,
Mike
