Can you guys explain how the brakes work on my B7500. This is my first tractor. I am very familiar w/ automotive brakes but, I sure don't see anything that looks familiar to me. Wet discs? Share the gospel w/ me. Is it OK to mention a B7500 or will TresCrowes get upset?

I read on another post where he recommended a fellow take a look at the B7500. I'm not sure he was sincere or feeling well/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

The brakes are contained in the rear axle case and each consists of two brake discs and a friction plate between the discs splined with the differential gear shaft. When the brakes are applied a cam plate is forced against the discs and braking is by friction force between the discs and cam plate. All this stuff is emersed in transmission oil and should last a very long time if you don't forget to disengage them to often when running the tractor. I'm not sure if the BX has brakes/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
