Got to believe that my tractor and yours weigh about the same; what trailer do you have?Just took my 2538 for a spin on my trailer and truck was pretty impressive.

First haul done. The 3.5 was awesome! Much more power than my 2014 Silverado 5.0. Only a 40 mile trip over mostly hilly, back roads, got just under 11mpg. Very pleased!Loaded up and ready to go. I'll give a report when I get back.

Finally broke down and purchased a larger truck. I was towing way beyond the capacity of my little Tundra for the last year and decided to step up my game. I got a 2017 F150 supercrew black 4x4. It has the 3.5 ecoboost. Now for the tuner. I will have to do some research there. So far I really like the truck but no real miles on it as I just got it yesterday. In the first 100 miles the gauge says I am getting 23 mpg. If this is true I would be very happy.
Very nice rig! Did you buy the trailer towing package with it? And if so, did that come with the controller installed?
Backup assist works very well. I didn't think I needed it but I found it will take you to a point just short of jackknife but not quite which is handy. The way it works is it uses the backup camera and a checkerboard sticker you put on the trailer tongue. You enter 4 measurements into the truck computer and it does the rest. The measurements define the relationship between the camera, hitch ball, target sticker and axle centerline
It has taken years but I think my wife finally learned where to stand so I can see her... now if I can only get her to do hand signals better. I taught her how to hold her hands up and move them together to show me how much clearance I have... but for some reason when she gets to less than about 18in of gap, she suddenly panics and closes her hands like I hit something and then opens them back up to a foot or whatever. :mur: :confused3:Not much better than standing where I can't see her, but at least I know I won't run over her now.Ahhh... I'm old school... I make my wife stand out behind the trailer and have her yell at me like I'm an idiot... She say's it's a great stress reducer...:confused2:
