Boom pole

/ Boom pole #11
I will be building a boom pole on a quick change attachment for my DK50. I have a 24' 2x3 tube that I will be using. Just curious what would be a good length to cut it to. I am thinking 15' but would like some personal experiences with these CUTs as to what they will handle. May also add a hydraulic extension depending on my mood! Thanks for the input. CJ
this is the low, low, dollar boom pole I threw together out of two 2x6s bolted together worked well enough to set 25 ' poles for our barn and the trusses for the garage 2010 018.JPG added one of those small electric winches to the top for the truss setting, allowed 1/4 " movements to get them set on the truss support plates, think it got disassembled and is part of a bench now.. If I need one again think it will be built like yours, out of steel btw 13' is the length we used
