Some things are better when they remain unsaid ,such as posting pictures of nine roadkill deer wearing harness. Over the years since quail's demise in East Texas I've been thrilled to hear a whistle or spot one or two scampering across the road from time to time. It seems others have experienced the same thing and like me thought quail might be returning. I've come to realize these are only escapees from a breeder or dog trainer and they will be short lived in the wild.
I hope there's some here that feel as much enthusiasm while discussing quail and pointing dogs as a handful have with politics and pallets in the field. Dr Dale Rollins spoke to meetings of Texas Independent Bird Hunters Association several years ago about eye worms so needless to say, I'm beyond excited about Quail Guard. The most recent activity Ive found for TIBHA is ancient so I made calls and wrote some letters this morning in hopes of rekindling interest and membership.
