What are your tire pressures? Normally tires getting popped off the rims is a sign of too low pressure. Of course, low pressure also gives you a little better traction. In my Mule, I keep the pressure pretty high because of the loads I carry, normally around 30 psi.

Do these machines have a bead lock made into the wheel ? I have several ATV'S & they all have bead lock wheels . The down side to the bead lock wheels are, they are very hard to break the tire off the wheel for tire replacment. I have never seen an ATV tire come off the wheel going through rough areas .

right now because of a massive plugged hole in the front tire (the one that blew off) it took me about 4 plugs i stuck two fingers into the hole . i'm just glad the plugs held so for.thats what i thought blew when i heard the air but it was the tire blowin off the rim instead. but right now i run 10 psi in the front and 20psi in the back. i got some stock 489's. i got some some 27'' itp 589's comin in about two days. payed 560.00 for the tires and rims.

They are easy to break on a ATV. You are using the wrong tool. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

i agree they are very easy to break if you have the right tool . they sell them on the internet or you could just make one. if not a heavy duty 1'' wide by 1/4'' thick paint craper and a 4lb mall works great /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif but i recomend the tool. i'm runni 15lbs of air in the front and back with my new tires and they seem to work great

It's a small bead around the inside of the wheel. Example ; run a lawntractor low of air and turn , the tire will break from it's bead (seal) of the wheel . An ATV tire won't do this because of the bead lock.
