I have a 2165 that has been working great. All of a sudden I started to blow the 20a fuse between the battery and ignition switch. It happens sometimes in the middle of snow blowing. It also happens when I shut the unit off and then try to re-start it.

Any ideas? I do know my ignition switch is a bit loose. Not sure what it could be.

Any help would be appreciated.

would look at connections to or the ignition switch itself as the culprit. A test light or VOM should help you isolate the short.

Put a head lamp across the fuse holder. You may need a switch with fuse in series to get it started. Wiggle wires and connections and look for the light to get bright.

As it turns out it was the fuse holder wire itself. I changed it and problem solved.
