Any time the temp is below 50 deg tractor will not start I have to put a heater on it. glow plugs get turned on three four times does not help. thinking of adding a block heater.

Something sounds off. Just started my D702 Kubota @ 10 F, cycled the Glow Plugs twice, fired, twice again and started. (at about 1/2 throttle)

Still has Summer Fuel (with Conditioner)

Are you sure your Glow Plugs are working?

Happy New Year, Summit gang.

Chiming in to say I’m in a cold winter climate and get my TX25 started in (well) below freezing weather using the following:

Hot Shots Winter Anti-Gel diesel treatment
Battery on a charger/trickle all winter
KAT’s 200 watt Magnetic Block Heater

I use the block heater on the oil pan for an hour or two, but I believe it has an auto-off feature.

Although I think about it…I have not used a temperature gun to determine whether or not the ‘heater’s actually making a difference. That said, the product gets great reviews.

You need to verify glow plug circuit is operational. I had to replace my glow plugs when it became harder and harder to start in 50° weather. Now with new plugs, she starts first time in 5°F weather.

Agree with all here and my $0.02 is that a lower radiator hose heater might be an easier option for you also. Mine works great for years!

Recently had the same issue with my Summit and discovered loose wire connections on the Bosch glow plug control module.
The module is located at the front of tractor under the hood on the right side as your sitting on tractor.
You will need to remove module to tighten connections as they are on the bottom.
