We received 14" of snow at our house. Spent 1 1/2 hrs clearing the drive and shop area First major storm of the season. Because the plows had not come through yet, towed a car out of a drift and all the way up the street to their house. Battery went dead on her car.

I imagine I'm the only one who clicked on this thread to find out what type of monuments Blizzard Monument Company manufactures and what they have to do with tractors.

Our sunshine comes in the form of white stuff on the ground. So it is a little cold, not a big deal.

I also dug out several of my neighbors, who don't see a need for a snow blower.

Nah, some of us just overlooked a comma in the title. And that really is a beautiful house.

I'm up in Parker, about 40 miles north.... We got 6-8". Of course that meant over half my driveway was bare gravel & I had 4-5' drifts infront of the garage & at the end of the driveway. It was crotch deep going out to the chicken coop, but there was a moat of bare ground right next to the coop. It was so sloppy & nasty, my L3200 really wasn't up to driving in many parts, much less plowing. Have front chains on the way now & may get wheel spacers so I can put the chains I have on the rear (otherwise the less than 1" of clearance means shredded fenders). Possibly getting a blower this summer when prices drop.

Highlands Ranch 20 miles West of my place only got a couple inches & no nasty drifts. Not more than a dusting on the north side of Denver.

I remember that white stuff attacking our area last year too, just fell out of the sky.

Thanks to everyone who commented on the house, we get that a lot. More snow last night, but only about 1/2".

I'll add my voice to those who clicked wondering what the monument to a blizzard would look like.

And yes, that's a beautiful house scodemike. Not to decent but, are you concerned about how close the trees are? Around here we keep them back at least 20-30 metres due to bushfires.


Edit: I just realised that how I used the word 'decent' could be taken the wrong way... I meant to say "not to take away from the positive comments."

I am not that concerned about the closeness of the trees. In the major fires in Colorado the last several years, most homes burned due to sparks on the roof's. Most of the houses in our area have trees similar in proximity of the house.
